- Pool: Service the pool 1–3 days before the shoot.
- Pets: Conceal food bowls, litter boxes, toys, and effects.
- Declutter: Remove all trash cans and rugs. Less is more!
🏠 Interior Preparation
Kitchen
- Clear the refrigerator of all magnets, photos, and notes.
- Remove paper towels, sponges, soap, dishes, and small appliances (coffee pots, toasters).
- OK: Decorative items or a fresh fruit bowl on the counter.
Bathrooms
- Remove all personal items (toothbrushes, soap, shampoos, hampers, wastebaskets).
- Open shower curtains.
- Must: Keep all toilet lids down.
Living & Dining Areas
- Organize furniture and ensure chairs are in-line and staged.
- Stage dining tables with a centerpiece or full place settings.
Bedrooms
- Make beds and declutter nightstands.
- Hide personal items, jewelry, and toys in the closet.
- If doing a 3D walkthrough, organize the closets as well.
🌳 Exterior Preparation
Front/Driveway
- Close the garage door.
- Park vehicles in the garage or away from the house.
- Remove hoses, newspapers, and landscaping debris.
Lanai/Backyard
- Organize patio furniture.
- Remove pool vacuums, hoses, and floats.
- Remove the grill cover unless the grill is rusted.
📸 Day of Appointment
- Lights: Turn ON all lights and lamps; keep ceiling fans OFF.
- Doors: Open all interior doors to create an inviting feel.
- Windows: Keep all curtains and blinds open.
Note: We typically do not photograph the garage, laundry room, closets, or half baths unless requested via your agent.
